Workshops & Creative Education

Idiot String offers a variety of creative workshops for all ages, some featuring our resident troupe, the Peripatetic Players, who you may have seen performing in a park or public space over the summer.

Classroom Workshops

Workshops at your school or organization may be a single session of one to three hours long, or a series of workshop sessions. Longer workshops will allow for more in-depth exploration and ensemble-building, but shorter workshops will provoke imagination, discovery, and lots of fun. Each workshop can be tailored to the age range of the participants.

Our workshop offerings are described in our downloadable Creative Education Packet. Please contact us to custom-design a curriculum for your school or organization; for information on teaching residencies or in-depth workshop series; or to book a workshop.

2019 Public Workshop Series

Starting in January, 2019, Idiot String is hosting a series of weekend workshops at the Port Costa School that are open to the public. These workshops are best suited for participants aged 14 and up, and are supported in part by the Crockett Community Foundation, who have made it possible for us to offer substantially reduced tuition to residents of Port Costa, Crockett, and Tormey.
